I'm back for another instalment of my "monthly" reads! This month I have re-read a few of my favourites that I have spoken about before so my list might not seem as impressive as I would like it to, but never the less... enjoy!
This month I read:
The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. Honestly this is one of my favourite books I have read in a long long time. Absolutely heart warming, charming, quirky, romantic and hilarious, this novel had me literally laughing out loud so many times and highlighting my favourite parts so much that I would estimate almost 50% of the novel are my "favourite parts". I definitely recommend this academia twist on the "fake dating" trope with so many unexpected and enjoyable twist and turns.
Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey. I must confess, I got the recommendation for this novel on TikTok, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it honestly was a stereotypical enemies to lovers/ brothers best friend storyline. I did enjoy it to a certain degree, but I don't think I would bother with reading it again.
Bully by Penelope Douglas. This one is a re-read, which just goes to show how much I enjoy it. This is book 1 in the Fall Away series in which I have devoured each and every one of them.
Romancing Mr Bridgerton by Julia Quinn. Book 4 in the Bridgerton series, I began reading this series as a recommendation from my mum. Since then, Netflix has adapted the first novel into a series and the second novel adaptation was released this month. I enjoyed the first 3 Bridgerton novels but I think this is possibly my favourite. I love Colin Bridgerton and that is all I am going to say on the matter.
Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score. Yet another absolute belter of a novel. Following Naomi, who becomes an instant mum to her 11 year old niece that she had no idea about when her crazy twin sister goes even crazier and runs away taking everything Naomi has. Naomi and her "rough around the edges" niece Waylay navigate small town life and finding love and a father figure somewhere unexpected.
A Brush With Love by Mazey Eddings. I really liked this book. It wasn't my favourite and I found myself disconnected from the main female character. Despite this however, I did enjoy the story and it is a bit different to other romance novels I have read.
Make Me Yours by Melanie Harlow. There is honestly one word to describe this book... hot... hot... HOT. I absolutely loved this book and I didn't want to put it down. Cole is such a sweet and sexy character and I felt like I could relate to Cheyenne so much. It was refreshing to read a romance novel that remains sweet and charming throughout with no huge "argument" scene. I definitely recommend this one!
