As a writing and publishing student I'm sure you can imagine that I am a big reader and I often get asked for book suggestions from my friends and family. I have decided to begin sharing with you the books that I have read each month along with a few thoughts about each one. Please be aware that I am interested in many genres, however I do really appreciate a romance novel, particularly one with a fantasy worthy steamy scene or two, so don't be surprised if you see a pattern emerging.
This month I read:
Miranda's Daily Dose of Such Fun! by Miranda Hart. This is a fun series of activities to complete each day of the year to bring you joy and "Such Fun!"
Naughty or Ice by Sylvia Pierce. As a huge ice hockey/ NHL fan, this novel stood out to me. I absolutely loved the maturity of the story line. I will definitely be reading the next novel in the series.
Anne's House of Dreams by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I am a massive fan of the Anne of Green Gables series and i couldn't help but read my personal favourite novel (other than the first one of course) again as the new season of Anne With An E season 3 aired on Netflix this month. Honestly, i will forever vouch for this series so please go and watch seasons 1-3 on Netflix!
The Deal , The Mistake and The Score by Elle Kennedy. I absolutely loved this series. One thing I can't stand about some romance novels is terrible names for the characters that I as the reader are supposed to swoon over. In Kennedy's "Off Campus" series, it follows a group of college ice hockey players (I sense a theme here already) Garret, Logan, Tucker and Dean as they find their true callings as well as their true loves. There is one more book in this series which I am yet to read. Expect to see it in next months reading list.
